Went to the Temple

Thanks to everyone for blessings sent my way. Life has its ups and downs but right now I seem to be on an upswing. Had an opportunity to visit my church's temple in Boston MA last Friday. Since it's at least a 4 hour drive from where I live it makes for a whole day's journey. And I have difficulty driving into town without needing a nap. I had called a friend at the beginning of last week to go over the music for church and she noticed I seemed down. I commented that I felt I needed to go to the temple. Without hesitation she asked "When would you like to go?" I said I wasn't doing anything Friday. She then asked "What time should I be at your house?" Everyone should have dear friends like that in their lives. I had someone take a picture of us in front of the temple just so you can get an idea of its size. The temple is not only a very spiritual and peaceful place, it's also very beautiful. It's a place to renew one's soul which makes life a lot brighter and the load a lot lighter. I'm so grateful to have been able to attend and grateful even more for a friend who was willing to take an entire day out of her busy schedule to help me get there.

Thank goodness for wonderful, understanding friends. Sounds like a needed renewal trip.
My brother lives in Spanish Fork, Utah just outside to Salt Lake. He graduated from Brigham Young Univ. joined the LDS Church and decided to stay out west. He has shared his wonderful experiences at the temple there.

Wow, I didn't realize you were LDS, too. I kind of gathered you were Christian from things you've said in various posts, but LDS...

You see, I'm LDS, too, but there are so few homesteading blogs out there that are written by LDS people, so while I enjoy them, it's always nice to find a fellow member. :)
